By using the Home Energy Navigator website, you agree to the following:

The Home Energy Navigator Program (the “Program”) is administered in whole or in part, by City Green Solutions (“City Green”) on behalf of the Capital Regional District (the “CRD”) and the City of Vancouver (“CoV”), together the “Partners”, and in collaboration, from time to time, with additional third-party contributors (each, a “Collaborating Party”). The Partners do not administer this initiative, however they are supportive and of the purpose of the Program website and its services and may provide promotion through marketing and outreach channels.

Privacy

City Green on behalf of the Partners collects, uses, and discloses personal information for the purposes of delivering and evaluating the Program in accordance with the BC Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIPPA). If you have questions regarding your personal information, contact City Green’s Privacy Officer at savings@citygreen.ca or #214-620 View Street, Victoria, BC.

You can choose to send City Green or the Partners information about yourself, including your name, address, phone number, and other information about your home, including your EnerGuide Rating System file number, so that City Green and the Partners can provide the Program to you. That information may be provided on your program application, through an online web form, or email. That information will be stored for up to 2 years after the end of the program.

You may be contacted by City Green or the Partners by phone, email, direct mail or similar method for the purposes of administering, evaluating and researching all elements of Program anytime up to two years after the end of the Program. You can opt out of receiving communications anytime by contacting City Green or the Partners and requesting to be unsubscribed.

When you use the website, City Green and the Partners will collect anonymous information using website analytics and other tracking tools about how visitors use the Program website in order to continually improve the website experience.

Limits of Liability

You are solely responsible for choosing products, services, energy advisors, and contractors and understanding and applying for any rebate programs, and for complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and bylaws when completing energy efficiency upgrades.

The information provided by the Program is general energy efficiency information and it is not a substitute for an EnerGuide home evaluation, professional advice, or quotes from licensed contractors. Prior to undertaking energy efficiency upgrades, you should consult with professionals who will provide you with recommendations and advice specific to your home and home improvement needs.

The Partners do not make any representation or warranty about the accuracy, reliability, currency or completeness of any information or material contained on the Program website or on any linked site or provided through the Program or other services provided. Links to other websites from the Program website are inserted for convenience and do not constitute endorsement of material at those sites, or any associated organization, product or service.

By using the Program website and its services, you assume full responsibility for any changes made and/or equipment installed in your home and you release the Partners from claims of any nature, including claims for injury or damages, suffered by any person arising from or occurring by reason of your use of the information provided by the Program website or its services or your participation in the program, receipt of funding or installation or use or operation of any equipment. The Partners accept no responsibility for any loss resulting from any action taken or reliance made by you on any information or material supplied through the Program website or its services.
